The Whitefish Community Center was the location for our annual potluck dinner and FAS membership meeting on May 9, 2016.

After several announcements Kay Mitchell, President of FAS, gave the 2015-2016 annual report. She included comments on the following: Hawk Watch; our new treasurer, Joe Batts; OSNA; meeting programs; our education program including comments on our new education coordinator, Denny Olson. Kay highlighted our numerous field trips, valuable newsletters, our revised website, our conservation committee, publicity, our five elected officers, fifteen board members, and our generous membership, making 2015-16 a very busy year for FAS.

Two motions were made and passed by the members. Marylane Pannell and Joe Batts were elected secretary and treasurer.  Barb Summer and Cory Davis were elected to the FAS Board.

It was moved and seconded to increase our basic membership dues to $25.00 and supporting membership dues to $40.00 per year.

The Conservation Achievement Recognition Award was given to Susannah and Dan Casey.

Dr. Marco Restani from Montana Audubon presented a program about this research on the Northern Saw-whet Owl.
