Join Flathead Audubon, Montana Native Plant Society – Flathead Chapter, and Montana State Parks on Tuesday May 19 from 5:30-7:30pm for a short evening walk with naturalist and botanist Caroline Kruckeberg Clemans.  The group will walk through the beautiful native landscapes at Harry Horn and Wayfarers Park in Bigfork. It is a great opportunity to identify native plants useful for planting in our local gardens and landscapes. This is perfect breeding habitat for newly arrived Yellow-rumped Warblers, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Spotted Towhees, and Bald Eagles. Walk is limited to 16 participants and registration is required. For more information and to register for the walk, please contact the Flathead Lake Ranger Station at 406-837-3041.

NOTE: Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, Flathead Audubon has made some changes to field trips.

Flathead Audubon will continue its spring field trips as scheduled due to their outdoor nature and separation in vehicles. Field trips are a great way to relieve stress and still stay mentally active. We recommend that no one come to a field trip sick or with a fever. There will be no carpooling or sharing of binoculars and scopes. Please respect each other’s space, even when outdoors. We also hope you follow all CDC guidelines and stay healthy during this virus outbreak. If field trips are modified or cancelled, we will do our best to contact you via email or phone but please CHECK THE WEBSITE before you head out. Things might change at the last minute. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.
